Credit Unions have better rates.  We price loans, pay interest on funds members deposit, and charge fees to provide our members with high quality, low cost services.  Other financial institutions price products and services to make a profit.  Our members earn more on savings, in some cases up to two percentage points, higher than at other institutions.  Credit Unions loan rates are also better.  The auto loans average at least one percentage point less than other financial institutions .  The crucial differences between a credit union and another financial institution exists in the ownership, the cost of borrowing money and the cost to use the services. 

Credit Unions are known for educating their members.  Credit Unions routinely inform and counsel members about financial matters.  We provide publications such as newsletters to keep you advised of rates, loan sales, and financial trends that affect you.  Dawson Co-op Credit Union stresses education.  We also have material available on several areas including financial planning and car and home buying to help our members make informed decisions.
